About the Production

This production was the start of a new approach to Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild’s “Children’s After School Arts" or CASA. In an attempt to make the productions created as part of this program more efficient, the education committee and I decided that it would be more effective if I wrote scripts specifically designed for the program. This involved thinking of the number of students who participate in the program, their ages, and their skill level. When thinking about what production to start with, I felt I would like to return to a show that I was very familiar with to eliminate as many variables as possible. So I chose Pinocchio and decided to reuse my designs from the production I did in 2021. With the help of Becky Mattson our wonderful costumer, we were able to update the designs to better serve the needs of our program. This all new script was well loved by the cast and the audiences and has been to date one of the most successful productions the program has had. It became the model that all upcoming productions will be based on.
