About the Production

In 2023 Nunsense - Mega Musical was presented in the Chippewa Valley by the Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild. While the original had been presented many times, the larger cast version had never been performed. Teaming up with the past production’s director Katie Schumacher, I was excited to not only bring to the stage this new version of the show, but to also get to work on this show with one of my favorite collaborators as my co director. We both brought all of our skills to this production - we both wore many hats, myself serving as director - designer - music director - choreographer. This production really did something very special - it brought together an incredibly talented cast and made them a family. That is not easy to create but it happened beautifully. It was that family that appeared onstage every single night to share this hilarious story with our audiences. The connection between these actors is one that I know will last for many years to come and it truly was an honor to be at the helm of this production and guiding this amazing cast on the journey that is creating a show. Nunsense is a story about family - a found family - coming together in a time of need to do something very special and important to honor those they love. I am so proud of the found family that came together on this show. Creating this piece truly was a labor of love.
