About the Production

Winter Wonderettes is a story about friendship. About sisterhood. About family. All of that tied up in a silly holiday musical. It was exactly the show I need after the hectic year I had had. Working with these four incredible women on this show was an absolute treat. Not only did I laugh harder in the rehearsal room than I had in a long time, I learned so much about the importance for female friendships and how women connect to each other. As the only male on the production team, I had the wonderful opportunity of getting to have these conversations with them - not only so that the show worked, but also so that I could understand and grow as a director and as a person.

Not something you’d think you would get to do on a show where people wear antlers on their heads.

It was out of that exploration of friendship that we were able to create a truly special show about a group of friends coming together, telling stories, singing songs, and sharing in the importance of having those you truly love around you for the holidays.
